The basic pintle hitch is essentially a hook and loop, with the hook attached to the vehicle and the loop mounted on the trailer. CURT combination ball and pintle hitches combine both a pintle hook and a standard trailer ball to give you a more complete towing option on your heavy-duty truck or SUV. Combination ball and pintle mounts are available with a shank to mount on a receiver or in the adjustable style to mount on a channel or plate. This particular CURT combination pintle and ball mounts features a ball capacity of 16,000 lbs. and a pintle capacity of 16,000 lbs. (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). It fits any lunette ring with a 2-1/2" inside eye diameter and features a changeable 2-5/16" trailer ball with a hard chrome finish. A safety pin and bolt kit are also included in this package.
